AS the Sunshine Coast’s longest established business awards prepare to kick off for 2018, the Sunshine Coast Business Awards are inviting expressions of interest from regional sponsors interested in supporting leading businesses and sharing their expertise with others.
There are a range of sponsorship packages available to suit potential sponsors and this year for the first time sponsors will also have more opportunity to be involved in workshops and events with businesses throughout the region.
Chair of the Sunshine Coast Business Awards Management Committee, Jennifer Swaine, says this year will see much greater collaboration between sponsors, nominees and finalists to ensure that every business that takes part also takes away real value from entering the awards.
“We’ve really listened to everyone that’s taken part in the Sunshine Coast Business Awards over the past 20+ years and we recognise that sponsors can give much more than just funding, our sponsors are highly experienced, awarded and can appreciate the journey many smaller or newer businesses are on so we want to provide the chance for them to connect,” she said.
“We are also pleased that both Councils are already on board and providing significant support to foster business growth across the region.”
Major Program Partner, Sunshine Coast Council has supported the Sunshine Coast Business Awards since their inception and have been a major sponsor for the past eight years.
Economic Development Portfolio Councillor, Stephen Robinson said the Sunshine Coast Business Awards are renowned for recognising the many leading business success stories throughout the region and provide an exceptional opportunity for businesses and sponsors to connect and be recognised locally and nationally.
“These Business Awards are the largest in regional Australia and highlight the best and most innovative businesses we have on the Sunshine Coast,” Cr Robinson said.
“An awards program is a key action of the Regional Economic Development Strategy which recognises the need to support business excellence through a highly competitive award and recognition program.”
Program Sponsor, Noosa Council spokesperson said that Noosa Shire has many small business and tourism success stories and nurturing these key sectors is vital, so sponsors can make a real difference.
“We have seen many Noosa businesses attract global attention and these Awards help them to highlight their efforts so we hope to see more local businesses apply and more local sponsors get behind them,” Anthony Dow, Manager Economic Development Noosa Council said.
The Awards are open to all businesses across the Sunshine Coast and a new application process will be unveiled at the launch on 30 May.
