Anyone may nominate a business to enter the Awards. While third party nominations are welcome, it is quite normal for a business to self-nominate. The identity of a nominator is not taken into account by the judges. If your business is nominated, this means your nominator believes you are worthy of recognition.
A businesses must create its own Entry to apply for the Sunshine Coast Business Awards. This involves:
- Step 1 – Register at enter.sunshinecoastbusinessawards.com.au. Once registered you may go back to your Application as many times as you require to complete the process. (Note that if you are also registered on the Sunshine Coast Business Women's Network Awards Portal, your login information will be the same on both portals, you will need to login and select the correct entry portal in to the top left corner once logged in).
- Step 2 – Once registered, login to enter.sunshinecoastbusinessawards.com.au and click Start Entry. You are required to save your Entry and name it to save it. This name will not be sent to judges
- Step 3 – Complete the sections within each tab including Contact Infomation, the eight written sections and marketing attachments. You may complete these sections in any order then save them or come back to them later.
- Step 4 – When all sections are complete and you are happy with your Entry, go to the Final Submission tab, complete and Submit Entry. You will not be able to make changes to your application again after completing Step 4. You must complete this step before applications close at 11:59pm Monday 27thAugust 2018, no late entries will be accepted.
The application for the Sunshine Coast Business Awards is split into eight sections.
- Business Overview
- Business Planning
- Customer Service
- Business Size
- Final Statement
Within each section you are required to answer a series of questions in writing. Each question has a word limit as indicated on the application form.

Businesses may enter 1 of 14 industry categories. A business may only enter one category per year. Please review all categories and select the most relevant for your business. Enter the category you believe best describes your business. See the Tips & Hints section for more help.
Finalists will be announced on 24 September 2018 via media and social media channels. Successful businesses will receive an email notification outlining the Next Steps. This will include details about final round interviews.
An event to celebrate Finalists (including an exclusive Media Masterclass) is scheduled for 26 October 2018.
Winners will be announced at the Awards Gala to be held 17 November 2018 at Novotel Twin Waters Resort.
